Utah is quirky, beautiful, and full of adventures for families, couples, and solo travelers alike. We’ve put together your ultimate to-do list so you can make the most of your stay when you book with us.

We want your trip to fit your style — whether you’re here to chase powder, sip cocoa by the fire, or recharge in quiet mountain air. (Yes, we may look like the extroverts in this relationship, but trust us — we wouldn’t survive without our beloved introverts keeping the vibe balanced!)

Below is our hand-picked list of the best spots near the condo. We loved them, and we think you will too.

Utah Your Way: Ski the Slopes, Wander the Streets, Conquer the Trails

  1. Carve Some Powder

Family and/or friends enjoying time skiing and/or snowboarding

Hit world-class slopes at Snowbasin Resort or Powder Mountain, where fresh snow and bluebird days make every run unforgettable.

  1. Snowshoe or Hike Through Winter Wonderlands

Winter wonderland hike

Whether you strap on snowshoes or keep your hiking boots laced, Ogden Valley, Wasatch-Cache National Forest, and Ogden Canyon turn into quiet, snow-dusted trails perfect for fresh air, big views, and maybe even a few animal tracks.

  1. Explore the Great Salt Lake

Great Salt Lake in Salt Lake City Utah

The largest saltwater lake in the Western Hemisphere is basically Utah’s inland ocean — minus the surfing. Stroll the shores, spot pelicans, and soak in the otherworldly views. And sure, you could take home some natural Utah salt to season your fries — but we don’t recommend it (one can dream though…).

Boutiques, coffee shops, and history-packed architecture — it’s like stepping into Ogden’s heartbeat.

Seasonal Celebrations: From Harvest to Holidays

  1. Fall Harvest Festival

Fall Harvest Festival

From October 10–11: Celebrate autumn at the American West Heritage Center with hayrides, corn mazes, pony rides, and fresh-pressed cider — the perfect weekend for families, friends, or anyone who loves crisp fall air and cozy seasonal vibes. Fall events run all October, but this one stood out as our favorite — and we highly recommend making it part of your trip!

  1. Adrenaline on Ice and Snow

Catch ski and snowboard competitions at local resorts — watching the pros soar is half the fun! When you’re done spectating, hit the ice at rinks like the Ice Sheet at Weber County. And if you’re as uncoordinated as I am, don’t worry — after a few graceful falls on your backside, the hot chocolate (or a local Utah classic hot cider) will warm you up and keep the day feeling like a win.

  1. Holiday Magic

Temple Square Christmas Lights Salt Lake City, UT

As winter descends Utah seems to come to life. Holiday lights flicker on city squares, festive displays pop up, and the whole place feels like you’ve stepped into a snow globe; only experienced from November through January.

Cozy Up and Learn Something New

  1. Elizabeth Stewart Treehouse Museum

Interactive exhibits keep the kids busy (and secretly learning) — but don’t worry, grown-ups, you’ll pick up a few fun facts too.

  1. Natural History Museum of Utah (Salt Lake City)

Rio Tinto Center; Salt Lake City Natural History Museum

Explore fascinating exhibits on dinosaurs, gems, and Utah’s unique landscapes — all inside a stunning building with some of the best city and mountain views around.

  1. Loveland Living Planet Aquarium

Walk through a shark tunnel and see over 4,000 animals up close — an indoor adventure you won’t forget. After this, even Jaws will feel less scary.

Wild Utah: Where the Locals Have Horns, Hooves, and Wings

  1. Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge

Take a scenic winter drive and watch flocks of birds gather against snowy backdrops — photographers, bring your zoom lens.

  1. Antelope Island State Park

Spot free-roaming bison and capture some of Utah’s most striking winter landscapes. There are also Antelope as well, its in the name of course.

Tips for a Safe & Smooth Adventure

  • Layer Up: Utah weather is a shapeshifter. You might get sunshine at breakfast and snow by lunch. Pack layers so you can adjust quickly.

  • Check Conditions: Before heading out, look at weather forecasts, trail reports, and road closures. A five-minute check can save an afternoon detour.

  • Stay Fueled: Happy adventurers are well-fed adventurers. Keep water and snacks on hand so everyone has the energy to explore.

  • Be Prepared: Toss a few extras in your pack — first aid kit, emergency rations, a blanket, and a charged communication device. Storms can roll in fast, and it’s always better to be over-prepared than underdressed and under-equipped.

  • Download Offline Maps: Cell service can vanish in the mountains. Offline maps make sure you always know where you are — and how far it is to the next rest stop or hot chocolate break.

Wrap-Up

Utah isn’t just a winter destination - it’s an adventure hub waiting to be explored. From carving fresh tracks at Snowbasin and snowshoeing quiet trails, to wandering Historic 25th Street and catching holiday lights, there’s something here for every type of traveler.

Whether you’re the early riser who loves sunrise hikes, the foodie who hunts down cozy coffee shops, or the introvert who just wants a cabin view and a good book — this corner of Utah is ready to meet you where you are.

So what are you waiting for? Pack your layers, grab your camera, and make some memories. The mountains are calling, and there’s never been a better time to answer.
